SANtec Autocomp Systems
The SANtec AUTOCOMP System is intended for a wide range of automatic precision
hole making operations. The system considerably increases workpiece output and
quality in batch and mass production. During machining operations such as fine boring
and drilling, repeatability within 1 µm can be achieved. By combining roughing and finishing
in a single machining cycle Autocomp eliminates the need for additional machines as well
as unnecessary production stoppages.
The SANtec AUTOCOMP System is based on modular components which can be easily installed
into most metalcutting machines. AUTOCOMP can utilize all types of modular tools thus
enabling fast tool changing and re-rigging. System features and benefits include:
- Lower machining costs. A single spindle equipped with standard carbide or ceramic inserts
will provide precision results otherwise only available with special ground tooling,
additional setups or follow-up operations.
- Better workpiece quality. The system compensates for tool wear, temperature
and all other unstable influences.
- High accuracy. Remote control of the cutting tip position with repeatability withhin 1µm.
- Modular tooling possibilities - HSK- , ABS- Tools / Block Tools / Coromant Capto / Varilock - offers machining flexibility through fast re-rigging and tool changing.
- Combines semi-finishing and finishing in a single operation from solid material in
one setup, eliminating additional set-ups, spindles and processes.
- Improves machine performance. Upgrades a standard production machine into a precision one.
- Tool Monitoring module. As an option AUTOCOMP can also be equipped for tool monitoring to provide tool, workpiece and machine protection.
- Easy machine integration. The AUTOCOMP System is based on modular components allwing
easy implementation and retrofitting in most machines.

SANtec Tools
|
SANtec offers high- performance concepts for each production task. The production program includes draw-, pressure- bar operated tools for CNC- and special machines with and without feed unit for automatic tool changing. Centrifugal force tools, accumulate tools or coolant-controlled tools complete the product range.

SANtec Feed Force Sensors combine robustness with sensitivity to provide both, optimum physical reliability and signal accuracy.
The strain gauge technology, implemented by SANtec into Feed Force Sensors and Plate Sensors detects even very small changes in cutting forces, and is not influenced by machining temperature.
The SANtec Powersensors and Piezosensors for measurement of power consumption, or acoustic emission of tools, provides an optimized tool utilization for each demand.
