Power units adjusted for the special features as capacitor charging unit. Based on our reliable high-voltage power units of the PNC series we offer the capacitor charging units of the PNCcap series. The capacitor charging units are available in various voltage ranges and for various current strengths. In the scope of functions and regulatory behaviour always adapted to the respective capacitors and the loading process. These types are also available as OEM versions.

Magnet Power Supplies
The power supply units of the Heinzinger PCU series are optimised for use as power supplies for magnets. The power supplies provide high-precision DC voltage with excellent current stability and extremely low ripple.These units are available in the typical voltage categories as power supplies for magnetic applications and make use of a modular design. Various currents between 100A and 340A are available for each power supply. In applications requiring more power, the power supplies can be used in master/slave mode in parallel. The switching power supply technology in use makes them extremely efficient. Pole reversal via polarity-switching-unit optionaly.
For high power magnet applications (like Dipole-magnets) we can offer PTN3p-series power supplies, tuned to the application "magnet power supply".

The power supply units of the Heinzinger ERS and PTNer series are equipped with an energy recovery system (regenerative system - mains feedback), which allows for significant savings in operating costs at test benches. These units comply with the highest demands in terms of precision and stability. Furthermore, the integrated internal resistance controllers allow the units to be used in battery replacement applications. Energy is recovered through the "Heinzinger Energy Recovery" system, for ERS series bidirectional. In power supply mode the unit works as a high power DC power supply. When operated in energy recovery mode, the power supply converts DC power provided by the "consumer" into AC power and feeds this back into the power grid.
